When and when not to use Silent Meetings

- When Silent Meetings work
    - Works great for any complicated decision that requires deep thought
    - This holds true for small and large groups (e.g. 6 to 10 or 40 to 60 )
    - Works even for one-on-one docs with recurring agendas
- When not to use Silent Meetings
    - The purpose of the meeting is to develop group culture and relationships
    - The purpose is to discuss difficult, emotional topics
    - The purpose is to have a "real" conversation and get to know people
    - Large gatherings where the purpose is broader than specific topic(s)
    - *** Silent meetings only seem to half-work for brainstorming sessions
